Trotspotting

The article isn't worth discussing.

I was being pedantic, highlighting the direction of the thread nothing more. In terms of real reference, I didn't think the article was a touch on 'Don't join anything', 'Monopolise resistance' and a few others which characterised the left in a deserved light. This read a little more like the lefty trainspotting thing put out a few years ago.

Workers Power & PIE!

After having dialogue with a senior member of Workers Power to find out what their position is on the subject claiming to have brought the subject up at a national meeting, they refuse to comment on the subject or remove the article from their web page!

After having some dialogue with other around Trot scene it seems that a character Jim Padmore(ex Sparts) has become close to the 5th International.

"Disgusting. This gang managed an obituary of Chris Harman within 24 hrs and yet nothing on the Polanski issue-a major global story. Jim Padmore, a WPer takes the Spart line on paedos. He must be right at home.

I cannot for the life of me recall reading any bits about why we should defend and support child rapists in the works of te great Marxists? "
(This guy gave me permission to publish this message from Facebook)

This seems to be the Sparts position on Underage Sex!

Groups supporting this sort of anti social behaviour arren't important issues.
Do you think people in working class communities and environments would not act with hostility to people promoting this position?

How are you getting on with Catholic Worker? Have you joined that community you were interested in Nige?
Spending a weekend looking after mentally handicapped people in a communitarian environment is somehow demeaming to me is it?

What about sticking to the thread?

According to some web pages on Web this character Jim Padmore is close to Perm Rev. which is a shame!

this times ten.
So you think that 'Marxist' organisations having this sort of position is a good thing.

With recent and in my opinion misleading attacks & mudslinging on the likes of Harriet Harmen & Peter Tatchell having connections with this issue & various groups on the left getting close to Islamicists who have very dodgy positions on this issue.

Groups like this justifying the position put forward by groups such as PIE & NAMBLA give the right ring a large stick with which to attack progressive struggles!

thought it was hilarious especially this bit

"Have you ever thought that you'd like to read a paper made up entirely of articles like this one? No? Well, the CPGB write one anyway."

Pretty accurate too although agree with the comment that it seems a bit unfair on PR, not that I know much about PR.
