You should phone about, they'll be loads of people looking for tree planters atm. 300/per day for £40 or there abouts...depends on the ground/tree ages/time of season...piece rate wise(12-20p per tree) 500/day is good money...450 hard work...400 a living...well for a few months.
I used to wear them Huskys for planting and groundwork all year round...expensive choice for tree planting but good for the bruising of the sole...or less of it...off've the spade.
Tree surgery wise...get on with that as soon as you can too...coz you'll be too fucked physically to start doing it after 35 or tooo fucked to continue doing it after 40-45.
Get your Basic and Advance felling tickets as soon as then get your Basic Climbing...do as much as you can...there ton's of people Oooop North who would welcome a helpful hand in return for the experience you'll get from them.
I used to know_know of quite alot of these...worth ringing about if you've the time.

! There's no such thing as a tree farmer I just like the name, I guess I would be a arboriculturist. I still don't know if I am 100% going in for it, I have a few courses to do before hand. Felling trees and clibming them before I move onto the diplomma (as squelch said) - it all depends if I don't get a proper job before then. The course I have enrolled for is just a C&G thing.firky said:
