Innit? We're not talking an adaptation of Dostoyevsky here people, it was a toy and fucking crap cartoon about alien robots that transform into vehicles. To give this high expectations on it's potential qualities as a 'film' as opposed to '120 minutes of popcorn munching fun that I'll forget as soon as I step out the cinema' is the height of folly...

i was joking. that's my point, people get a bit fanwank over this sort of stuff and really, if i was making this movie for me it'd be kids getting stepped on and nuclear war and massive amounts of robot parts flying everywhere, but you know what, no-one is letting me make it so instead i'll just sit back and see what happens safe in the knowledge that i can always go home and recreate it the way i want to with my toys

That trailer was terrible.

I was excited about this because giant robots fighting giant robots is awesome. But there was none of that in the trailer. People vs. Giant robots just seems kind of lame in comparison, meh, I'll probably still download it though.

No that is an animation, this is a live action film.

Being a massive transformers fan I have to say I was extremely excited when I first heard that they where making a Transformers film.

But now that Michael Bay is behind the camera I expect this to be the biggest disappointment since the Phantom Menace.
