Traitors '25 Starts 1/1/25 8pm

What if one of the traitors had put themselves in the game and then been murdered, was that possible? Seems like it would be obvious there'd be no traitors in it.

Yes we were wondering this. If they'd lost they would have had to have been murdered or it would have been obvious they were a traitor. Probably not worth the risk seeing as they didnt know what the game was beforehand.

Was wondering if Minah would have suggested it to Linda to try and get the heat off her whilst secretly thinking it would be good to ditch Linda.

I am confident that she could have persuaded Linda that it was an excellent plan.

Is the picture with the graves still up in the bar?
Mr Looby send me a reel and Linda has used exactly the same handwriting as she uses to vote. But then they’re all too busy noticing how someone holds their cup to spot actual clues. 😄

The zed thing? It’s how I and my wife and anyone over 45 or so, I would have thought, does their zeds. Still makes it a reasonable clue though, in fairness.

I thought that.

I am just finishing off episode 5 with my kids for the “first time”. Keep getting distracted by my phone and then overcompensating with dramatically surprised commentary that makes Linda look RADA trained, but seem to be getting away with it.

Eldest came up with the rather good “scareground” for the episode’s mission though.

Its the downside of the programme...there are clues and situations arising but doesn't seem, from the edit at least, that people are really getting stuck into these. The casting skews young and not that forensic. There was zero discussion following the no murder for example - not broadcast anyway.

They should do a lower key production Traitors Expert version full of people who rate themselves as gaming/logic/detective experts. Probably would result in even more interpersonal clique drama than the regular one!

Have they always had the last 3 in for breakfast are the 3 up for murder? If yes, then statistically you could remove the last 2 into breakfast each day (up until the first shield or traitor banishment) as they must be faithful?
Yes this! A massive design flaw designed for the home tv audience drama, but the biggest clue on a plate in the game.

They do. But as I never know who they are in the first place. I just look on them as regular contestants.
I love Alan Cummings on this though. So really looking forward to it.
Yeah, he's having a lot of fun as host and definitely the best thing about this version. If it wasn't for all the annoying fake celebs/annoying ex-members of parliament in it, I'd probably have stuck watching.

I'm pretty sure this hasn't changed since the show started and I'm amazed that nobody since the first series has cottoned onto it.
Because it isn’t true, that’s why. The orders do get mixed up, but more importantly, the producers shoot shitloads of versions but only show us one.

From this afternoons grauniad:

Several problems here, though. For a start, it’s not true. Exceptions to the rule happen, with near-misses arriving early or Traitors arriving late. Ex-contestants have also debunked it, saying producers mix up the arrival order. They can also film multiple permutations or reshuffle it in the edit for dramatic effect. The magic of television, innit.
