TRAINER porn

The last pair I purchased, theres just something about the superstars that you cant beat

I go for £2.50 plimmies from an Army and Navy store in Doncaster. I can't do the sneaker fanboy thing.
I can;'t see the attraction either. Shoes are utilitarian! Ugh. Fashion. Conspicuos consumption. Makes my stomach turn :(

I know it's partly a US v UK language thing, but when I hear/read "trainers" I think of shoes you'd actually wear for, you know, training in an athletic capacity. In other words, almost none of the ones posted on this thread. They're all sneakers, as far as I'm concerned. :p:)

It's your 21st! A pair of Converse? Sheesh! If someone was offering me unlimited funds to buy a pair of new kicks the Converse would be low on the list.

If anyone DOES want to treat me, there's a v limited edition pair of Nike SB 6.0's I'm after with lights in the soles (like what kids have) or the even rarer 6.0 Tiffany's - they got jewels in 'em  going for about £300 a pair on ebay atm

Those Tiffany's are nice!

Pootle I don't really like the 'skate shoe' type cos it doesn't suit my 'look' (LOL :D) what special editions can I get in Air Max's?

I really want a pair like this too :o

Does anyone know any decent *gym* trainers that don't have laces. Ie, like Merril but able to be worn to the gym.

Laces are so 20th Century...

I took a photo of my trainer collection the other week, sad fucker that I am. Mostly Adidas, with a smattering of New Balance, Nike and Puma:

Just took delivery of a pair of Diadora Borg Elites yesterday, proper 80s classics:
