Traditional English foods that don't require much preparation.

Grilled pork chop with boiled potatos and boiled cabbage.

Boiled white fish in a bag with boiled potatos and boiled cabbage.

And Kyser, M and S ready meals might taste better than most people's cooking, but i doubt the same could be said for Somerfield's :(

My mum is a qualified chef so I have a lot to live up to

Do ploughmans. If you do it right there is pretty much no preparation and is full on delicious. And BRITISH.

Some good cheese, some kind of pickle/chutney, some proper bread, maybe an apple, and a bit of proper ale.

scones, cream & jam / strawberries (if you buy the scones)

hot cross buns (if you just buy the buns)

marmite on toast

eton mess (strawbs / meringues / cream)

I have sussed how to represent England on primary school International Evening, with minimum effort.

Mmm that reminds me theres strawberries to be picked in the garden :D

I've just been making a Stilton and Celery gratin that I found the recipe for off of Delia Online. Going to check out how it is doing in the oven in a wee bit, it should be ready to come out soon :D

That's for myself mind you. The yorkshire puddings are going to be made in a bit :D

Although seeing as Delia is sayin that a yorkshire pudding needs to be served 20 minutes after it's done and I'm thinking of going there tomorrow with it I have a feeling this is going to be an epic fail :(

 :(

I made this really nice thing (stilton and celery gratin) that COULD have been really nice and parts of it are lovely but it's all burnt round the edges :(
