Administrators can go very far indeed.
On one US board, in breach with their own privacy rules which was in fact a breach of contract since it was a paid subscription, an administrator posted in a thread the location of the IP I used, as "proof" that I was "not in the Middle East" (and had the location of the proxy wrong at that) :).
On that same board an other moderator posted personal information about a user on that member's own blog (he was on a list of sex offenders, or something) and - I think - she also linked to that on the board.

On an other US board a moderator posted the name and location of the proxy I used to insinuate that when using a proxy, you must be a liar :) (the naïvity of US'ers about reasons anyone can have to use proxies is unbelievable)

Makes you wonder how far they go in reading PM's and giving any type of personal information they ever find about you, to anyone who ever asks for it.
