Tottenham Hotspur 2017/18 - Spurs are on their way to Wembley

Bugger me. Didn't see the game, had a dinner to go to. This thing with West Ham taking Rumbelows matches against us so seriously is really sweet.
West ham rested players as well and Eriksen was sent on for the last ten minutes when you were chasing the game, that would suggest your manager wanted to win.

Did that really happen?

Only just coming back to earth now. Proper glory glory night at Wembley. For the first time we made Wembley sound (a bit) like WHL. Will live long in the memory that..

Perfect tactics again from Poch - let them have the ball, press aggressively and break - cutting them to pieces in the process.

While Dele gets the plaudits (rightly so), a little mention for Harry Winks - growing into a v classy young footballer and just what England have missed since Scholes

yeh. but anyone can beat real madrid right now. little girona did just a few days back. would you have such a good game against them? i doubt it.

Dunno about that. We've clearly maintained a tradition of playing people out of position since Scholes hung up his international shirt.

Enjoyed the 'pop star' Ronaldo getting duffed up.
A few happy spuds fans around me today:)

That was a hugely enjoyable match - particularly for someone who would still struggle to shout for Madrid even if they were playing Glasgow Sevco.

Expect the big teams to tighten up considerably when playing Spurs from now on.

Magnificent display from Spurs , I can understand now why they weren't focused 100% Saturday when they had a game as big as this coming up.

Cliche alert - an ugly win today but I’d take 3 points all day...

Wasn’t looking forward to today - midday start didn’t help - I thought we’d suffer from one of our familiar slumps after midweek heroics. That being the case, I’m grateful for the win, no matter how ugly (& it was)

Palace were good. Did their homework. Compact and tried hitting us on the break thru Zaha and Andros.

International week couldn’t have come soon enough with an ever growing injury list: Vic; Dele; Weirdo; Lloris; lamela (who?); and now possibly the two Harry’s...

Rest up boys - Woolwich next

New stadium is coming along nicely; Mace have now installed the inverted cockerel whose feet support the upper rakers of the single-tier south stand.

So, the NLD tomorrow. Predicting a 1-3, with much wailing and gnashing of teeth from the bluds and fams.

A shame that this thread will never be as lively as it was in the Redknapp era.

anyone got a stream that's working? I usually use TVEmbed but can't get anything to load.

Lots of good ones on the reddit soccer streams.

Sadly the match is a bit of a wristslitter. Winks for Sissoko and a card for Shagger and there’s some hope.
