Yep...draws are killing us, just as they did last season too.

I didn't think Woolwich were that bad yesterday. momentum ebbed and flowed. Both hit the woodwork - would've been lovely had ours gone in late on....

All told an encouraging enough performance given the shit they served up on Wednesday night at Wembley. Hopefully some of ours wont travel with their international squads - Toby, Alli, Walker etc - giving them more time to recover from knocks. With enough players at the training ground this week perhaps Poch can work on our shooting - I heard yesterday that since the Citeh game Spurs have had over 90 shots at goal, converting only 6 of them!!!

    Spurs are wide open tonight!

Lucky not to be 2 or 3 down. That said we've had a couple of chances too

Dier is a quality player but he's not a centre half for me.

I don't think the Champions League exit will affect Spurs chances of not winning the league, it could in fact give them a boost.

Spurs - the rest of the league salutes you. Might be the very top 6 that would've been predicted, but that just threw a huge spanner in Chelsea's title charge - great result for top flight football :)

    This is all very strange.
I have searched and searched all online papers on the net. Not one newspaper reporting the dismissal of Conte.
I mean he must have been sacked surely!?

What a footy day Wednesday was:

    1. Spurs beat Chelsea (in style)
    2. I scored x4 at "Fat Dads" football
    3. Highest Fantasy League score (in our league)
    4. Won £5 from the studio football prediction fund

It's all downhill from now on...

Very quiet here this season. Not sure what Spurs we are seeing in 16/17 or just how Spursey they are*

Parallels with last year - not a good or big enough squad to compete in three competition come Feb/March.

Not sure why Kane/Eriksson/Alli blow hot and cold all at the same time...fucking frustrating

Might be out of everything in a weeks time......

    *id say fairly Spursey

Hmm. That challenge from Alli has been brewing for 18 months...

Anyone fancy us to do it now? I'm not sure. Wembley 'curse' to continue....

As so often in life Allí would've done well to heed the advice of Half Man Half Biscuit.

"Oh you can’t put your foot up in Europe,
You can’t show your studs on the ‘nent,
They take a dim view of a slightly raised shoe,
So think on if you’re up against Ghent, my lad

Was at yesterday's game. No ST this year, only membership but that's allowed me to sit on lots of different areas of the ground and indulge in a bit of nostalgic reminiscence (in this last season of old- WHL).

I was down low just under the Shelf at the end where all the goals were scored and while I prefer to be up higher usually I was able to see at close quarters just how lethal Kane is. Not much pace, no tricks but a directness about him, with little to no back-lift and extreme power makes him a fucking nightmare for defenders.

I thought Dele's tackle in midweek was nasty and reprehensible. However, it was interesting to note the response yesterday. Whelan and Charlie Adam both upended him, tripped him up and generally appeared to be 'getting in his ear'. TBF the lad just picked himself up and got on with it. That he scored and Stoke didn't really have an answer to his movement 'should' provide him with a way forward - we'll see....

Despite the first half fireworks the crowd were a little flat. Maybe because of a collective feeling of having been let down in mid-week, I don't know?

Alderweirdo and Vertongen both limped off yesterday. Hope all is ok as it's Lukaku next

Everton at home on Sunday, followed by the 'Wall in the Cup (we've given them 2800 tickets btw - expect 10000 from SE London to show up. Batten down the hatches.......)

There'll be no battening down the hatches in Tottenham. Spurs have been taking it to Millwall every meet since 1972. The last time at The New Den even going back there at 9pm.

It will be near impossible for firm meets anywhere near the ground (although Cardiff at home a couple of times, there was enough mayhem to make it uncontrollable by the Met and firms did meet.)

as for 10,000...well maybe day trippers from Kent tagging onto Millwall's ancient rep - saw plenty of those at their West Ham games and the Wigan semi final at Wembley; but if your ticketless on the day, Tottenham ain't the place you want to be roaming around looking for it...because you will get it. My guess is that plenty of theirs know that and numbers will be far less.

been reading about the 1977 meet up @ London Bridge, someone even dug out a grab of the mythical ' meet at London Bridge' leaflet that was circulated prior....+ well known K Town Spurs loyalist describing the journey down there in open back works lorry, with pick ups along the way in Hoxton, Beth Green etc... whole caper is ridiculous, divisive, self defeating in so many ways, but v hard to resist the whole history / mythology....

and why are you even commenting on Tottenham? are you a yid? going back through this thread your comments talk about spurs as if they are another team than that you in your avatar?

look like the kind of fan I dread having at the bigger ground.. end up looking like Arsenal at home in Hogwarts.

Plain sailing, then a bit old school Spursey at the end today. Another 3 points mind and that makes 9 league wins in a row at home...
