Toronto van attack: Suspect quizzed after 10 pedestrians killed

Goodness me what people these guys are :(

And they wonder why they can't get a girlfriend.

They'd probably argue they are this way because they can't get a gf, vicious circle. I knew a guy who was a nightmare to be with, because he didn't have a gf that fed him being a nightmare to be with. Ultimately he pretty much had an arranged gf from friends of family and he suddenly becomes a nice bloke...

Islamist forums seem to be full of questions about to what extent it is possible to marry/rape the local population during the course of your jihading. I would say that there is a lot of crossover.

There also seems to be a lot of crossover with white supremacists - they get fixated on the idea that they're entitled to a beautiful blonde girlfriend and think the only reason they don't have one is that people from other races are "stealing" women that should rightfully be theirs.

The thing with these guys it seems once they get sucked into the online 'community' there's a whole edifice of stuff they buy into that tells them its down to evolution they will never get a girlfriend because women are pre-programmed to only want tall / rich or whatever men, and once they believe this they're pretty much stuck with nothing but anger.

I’ve spent a fair bit of time trolling racist and WP sites and you have to read them for a while to understand who’s who, what they’re about, etc. I couldn’t do it with that site yesterday. It’s fucking vile. Worse than Stormfront, IMO.
You have more experience than me but I'm really doubtful about that, having spent the morning reading their site, which only dates back to last November when there was some sort of Redditwar.. Their views are revolting, but taking their posts at face value, they seem to be mostly lonely, unhappy children struggling with growing up. Most seem to think their physical appearance is a major cause of their sexual frustration (along with women, who they blame, individually and collectively, for pretty much everything). They're into videogames, manga and feeling sorry for themselves.

Stormfront is by and for determined adults. Most of this lot will grow up, partner off, turn into normies and let the way they feel now become a distant half memory.

Oh my god, what a scary site. Someone wrote this:

"Anyplace where young women convene are ideal targets. Sororities, schools, nightclubs, coffee shops, women's marches...

I'm salivating for more acid attacks on shallow foids."

I wouldn't be too sure. To me this is a new level of scum entirely. It's Stormfront with added noncery and extra helpings of misogyny. Fucking bananas.

I'm not *sure*, just as with any other social media phenomena it's evolving and we don't know where it's going.
They seem to despise an idealised alpha group- normies, who have relationships and reasonable lives- from which these guys are excluded. A lot of the racism is self-directed because they blame their exclusion on their physical appearance. I dunno, it just seems to me that very few angsty young men carry this sort of burden far into adult life.

who were you on Stormfront? I was Jack The Biscuit

I have seen it reported that he has Asperger's Syndrome.
Me too. I don't know if that's a diagnosed condition or just shorthand for oddball.

Either way I don't think it's helpful as an explanation, especially as it's likely to cause anxiety about and amongst people actually on the autistic spectrum (if that's the proper terminology) as well as divert from what may be more pernicious causes.

PS not suggesting that's what you were doing StigoftheDig

No problem. :)

I should have made it clear that I was posting that in response to the post above about him "meowing" at girls - is that possibly an autistic spectrum behaviour?

But I posted largely in ignorance and apologise. I don't mean to demonise anyone with such conditions.

The thread in the next post talks about this in a way that I mostly agree with.

I say we withdraw and nuke the site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

I'm joking but I'm not joking . . . newbie talks about them growing up and growing out of it, and I hope s/he's right. . . but I think there are good reasons, related to patterns of life in post-industrial society, for not believing they will ever grow out of it.

And even if they do, what's to stop fresh fish being recruited to this bullshit?

I have seen it reported that he has Asperger's Syndrome.

I've seen the same, though most reports are taking care to note that violent behaviour isn't linked to the condition.

Friends, classmates and a former teacher said he had a form of autism along with social anxiety and mental-health issues.

His own mother described her son as having Asperger syndrome – but that terminology is no longer used in medicine. Rather, people who were said to have Asperger are now diagnosed with autism-spectrum disorder and deemed high-functioning.

Suspect in Toronto van attack publicly embraced misogynist ideology
