Topshop loses it

no way!! if it doesn't make you look thinner - bin it. if it doesn't make your legs look longer - bin it. if it doesn't make your neck look slender - bin it. you get the idea? there are fashion RULES and you must stick to those rules or else you will be shunned forever more.
bugger fashion i'd rather have style... :D

there's another saying that goes "if you think you have a fat arse it usually means you have"...
I agree. I can't understand that whole: "Does my bum look big in this?" question.

Surely, one knows these things. E.g. I have a big bum, ergo, my bum does look big in whatever I'm whatever I'm wearing. Stands to reason.

Well, I think its jolly nice of Topshop to consider the fashion needs of colostomy bag wearers. There's even somewhere on the other hip to keep a spare if you need a quick change.

Topshop has been shit for the past few years or so...

The state of fashion is ridiculous at the moment, and topshop is one of the worst high-street offenders. Every time I enter it I run out screaming.

Shame, It was good about 4 years ago.

if I was a couple of dress sizes smaller I would spend a fortune in topshop - loads of lovely stuff in there at the moment. topshop isn't shit by a long way.

those trousers are cool in an unusual way

Does it not occur to anyone that the reason they're stocking such a ridiculous item is to get us all talking about it? Look at us, we've been manipulated into discussing Topshop in a public forum, giving it positive or negative publicity. Either way, it's all publicity.

Here we are taking notice of Topshop. The new fashion line has done its job, whether or not anyone would wear it is now beside the point.

They have some nice stuff, but the item in the original post is typical of the 'Oh, it's not frumpy and ugly, it's cool and alternative' look sometimes too beloved of Topshop. I find a lot of the time you walk in there and a lot of the stuff looks like a badly-stocked charity shop.

That said, the queues are full of girls buying jeans and plain vests anyway, so that's where they make their money. I guess that's what the 'experimental' stuff's about.

i *heart* topshop.

it's the halfway house between cheap and cheerful Hennes and overpriced Warehouse etc.

wouldn't be seen dead in those pyjama bottoms though.

I think those trousers are ace and I'm gutted I can't squeeze my fat arse into them.

/sarcasm

You know those dreadful trackie bottoms with words on the arse? Been thinking about getting some iron on letters and putting "fat arse" on the back of my (plain) trackie bottoms.

Thought it might make for some amusing moments :)

If you do, can I borrow them? :D

they have a cool bustle skirt in the same fabric.

girls are lucky, they get so much more better clothes than chaps.

that skirt is pretty cool, but they should definitely change the peachy colour.

would look good with opaques and heels.

So, seeing as the new fashion seems to be for bustles and trousers which exaggerate the arse area are those of us that have a naturally exaggerated arse suddenly going to be de rigeur?

maybe, but its bloody expensive

i love their jewellery though :o
it's more expensive than it used to be, definitely, but i think it's reasonable still. the stuff is good quality and does last.

Hideous.

Fahsion is rubbish at the moment. Just cos it's in fashion doeisn't mean I'm going to wear it. It'll lok awful on anyone who wears it and in 20 years time people will be looking at pictures of themselves now thinking "why oh WHY did I wear that."

Anything but this awful grandma colours and 80's designs :(

These nasty yellows and greens are horribile.... and I HATE those coats that awlwasy copme in grandma yellow with one button that go outwads and cut off at the waist.
