I find talking about vomiting doesn't really get a big enough reaction, I try to concentrate on faeces.

2 of my friends once had a bet to see how quickly they could get me talking about the current state of my bowels. It took less than 3 minutes. :o

Maybe.. but to not say anything then complain that it offended you, is a bit odd.
Probably the same reason some people got out of bed the wrong side ;) :D
It's nothing to do with my bed, it's PMT ;)

It's not 'odd' to be upset about something but not say anything at the time. It happens to me all the time. And I dare you to tell me I'm odd ;)

Why not say something like "can we not talk about throwing up while eating" and change the subject.

It's not difficult.

That's what I'd do. I'd prefix it with a "no offence but... " if it was work colleagues and "dude srsly..." if it was a friend.

That's just really childish

It is for some people in some circumstances.

FFS, why are people being so fucking thick today?

Her: I once vomited in someones house because I some meat. I'm a vegetarianism, you know...! Hee Hee...
Me: :( Can we not talk about throwing up while eating...?

Coleague: Yes, I'm into copography. Lets talk about that instead.

I should have mentioned before but the vomit talker was senior to me and is quite a bold, confident, and fearsome woman. Teeth, claws, and appetite like:eek: She'd have eaten me alive if I had said anything.

i can be the same. there's been loads when i've wanted to say something but haven't heard the nerve too and have been left kicking myself afterwards. i can um and ahh about saying something for so long that by the time i've thought "yes, i will" the conversation has completely moved on. not everyone is confident or outspoken or good at getting their point across or even getting themselves heard.

I introduced my missus to a couple I know and she started talking about dysentery over a bbq the other day. She shut up when she realised what she was doing.

lol etc :D  :D

Not much of a vegetarian, is she then...?

Pardon?

sometimes you feel worse after saying something. I rarely find piping up makes me feel more comfortable and at ease.
