Top tip for dancing at Dreadzone gigs

nah that was aimed at dub :D

but the original comment wasnt just aimed at him.

i dunno, i guess i just dont see the point in arguing for the sake of it or pissing on someones happy bonfire.

but if someone posts an opinion, that means either nobody responds - booorinng

or people can only post if they agree - booorrinng.

what would be the point of a discussion board if criticism was verboten?

and are you still saying you never do it? :p

Well I like 'em.

I've only seen them live once and that was this summer and it did indeed kick off when Little Britain started. :)

Was actually checking thier website for upcoming gigs yesterday and they have a London one in December (date TBC) which I think I may pop along to.

I like the video for thier new tune too

What if people just responded 'Fuck off, Dubversion' after each of your posts?

well, it's a system :)

but it wouldn't take account of other people doing precisely what is being referred to, so it's a system with limitations

personally i dont really see the point of coming onto a thread where someone is so obviously happy about something and has enjoyed it and telling them that its dross, its not as good as it used to be etc

it doesnt make you look good

But it's fun.

Oh, you people are so mean.

I really, really want to have a circle jerk thread about how wonderfully original the Ordinary Boys are, where likeminded Prestonites could gush enthusiastic loving comments about the band.

But I fear you critical wankers could extract the Michael ruthlessly. Fussy bastards.

:(

;) ;)

Meanwhile, back on topic...........

Dreadzone were the first ever band I saw at my first ever Glasto (Friday lunchtime, main stage, '94). I remember the bass vibrating my whole body

Also saw them at Brixton Academy many years ago at an Orb all-nighter (I think). Danced like fuck to Dreadzone, and was too knackered after for the Orb :D

Got a couple of their CDs, but they don't do much for me really, a few good tracks, but a lot of fillers too.

So, live = good, on CD = average

Mother Earth. Teh

I read all that with a huge smile on my face.

mainly 'cos I am listening to them live at Sunrise festival last year and they're so fucking good it's silly.

Dreadzone are heaps and heaps of fun, they make me grin like no other band anywhere and frankly I couldn't give a fuck if you don't get it. Go to any festival they play at (which is most of them, sometimes more than once :D ) and you'll find hundreds who do.

And it's worth repeating - Little Britain owns any other tune in the world ever.

And anyway, Steve Roberts has been a year dead so you all should've waited until tomorrow to be mean :p

I danced myself daft last night on nothing more than a can of warm Scrumpy Jack

Truly a band of wonder :)

Saw them twice this season. They were stormingly good. I was impressed, crowd went mental, they were outstanding. Course, some people may prefer listening to Mantovani, but each to their own, eh?
