8.6m viewers apparently. For 8pm on a Sunday night that's impressive (and more than BB).

Yeah, all those who weren't watching that terrible programme about cars and laddishness were glued to some really classy viewing ;)

It was really good to see RH back and obviously in full posession of his faculties, we got a bit choked up. :o He handled the whole thing really well, must have been pretty horrendous for him to relive it like that, hope everyone abides by his request of never mentioning it again.

Just watch Jamie Oliver's out takes...nice opposite lock on next to last turn too. The lad can drive - only 3 seconds off the best lap and in the wet:eek: :D

Does anyone else think that Richard Hammond's voice sounds different? It seemed to me to have a different timbre and a slightly different accent than pre-crash.

What was that dark tune that was playing over the H&S speech & at various points during the roadworks segment?
Bees'll know.

Usual Suspects soundtrack I think. Could be wrong though.

Maybe the gearstick hit him in the nuts :D

It didn't have a gear stick, just a big red button marked AFTERBURNER. That might have hit him in the nuts.

There's only one way to find out.;)

I applaud the fact that he's fit and well.

I don't applaud the fact he risked his life for something so stupid as a tv show and that peopel thought that was worth appluading.

Threads like this make me feel like there's a bit of my brain missing cos I fail to see why people are excited about a programme about cars

Indeed, I can't see any point in commissioning programmes containing celebs droning on and on about "Global Warming". - what next - "The existence of Goblins and why we should be afraid of them" - that'll never get an audience of 8 million.
