Top Gear Series 14

In a interview last week Wilman the producer alluded to them canning it after people had got tired of it, rather than going out on a high. I.e. There will be a series which gets a thumbs down. Wonder if it's this one? Hope not, but I can see them running out of steam.

They need to keep upping the game, and I don't think that's sustainable.

Was there even a news section in the latest ep or did I just miss it? Doesn't really feel like a 'current-affairs' motor show any longer.

Well that 'electric car' feature seemed to go on for ages didn't it.

There are some loons fuming over on the TVR forums about what was done to that Chimeara. :D

Nice footage of the Audi going round the track, mind.

Yes it did drag on a bit. Rest of the programme was okay.

Surprised they're allowed to drive something like that on a public road what with holding up traffic etc

I am absolutley adoring the James May prog that's on before TG. Longest Scalectrix track in the world

It's all set up. They have full production permits - no question.
They can't even so much as point a camera out of the crew car without one.

(a friend does camera work on TG a fair bit)

Really? Tell your friend I love the camera work on TG. I think it's a terrific production and the camera work especially is one of the things that makes it so good.

I'm now numb to supercars. I prefer it when they are in old bangers. Or crushing caravans. That kind of thing.

Me too. I haven't watched any of this series because I read somewhere that they're going to stop being silly and go back to reviews of supercars, but that's the bit of the show where I go and do something else, so if it's all going to be supercars I won't bother with this series.

was a bit meh about the electric car until i realised they were also making a point (albeit a very laboured one).

then i was "oh yeah"

then i went back to staring at that hot chick who was behind hammond

then meh again

that guy who was pulled out of the audience is going to regret that decision for a while i guess.

still entertaining but they need to make another robin reliant space shuttle

That bit made me leave the room (I was sorta leaving the room anyway) - ffs, "YUK GAA-AAAY" is a bit old hat

Oh yeah, forgot about that bit.

Together with the cock drawings, all a bit Nuts & Zoo magazine really. :hmm:

Get rid of Hammond for the next series, there's something school-boyish about him. That German woman who drives round the Nurburgring would be far better. :)

Also - it *is* getting a smidge old through repetition of aspects of it. I had 'Look, listen to me..." arguments with people who thought that caravan they stayed in a few series back really caught fire in the middle of the camp ground :D

Now you see them stand with their backs to Geoff near an incline and what do you think's gonna happen?

Not exactly their fault but sometimes it's a bieng fucking glaring and is a shame. The trips/races are often better than the projects now. The racing a letter one was good, off the top of my head for a recent one :)

one of the first shots that was cut to Hammonds face, and his hair was some fluffly, straightened mess of faggotry. Get rid of him

james may is king

Couple of tasty looking lasses in the audiance last night, wonder if mustache man was a plant?

I thought the bit with the electric car was pants..

I mean we know most electric cars are pants anyhow, they didn't need to build one to prove that!

I thought it was an improvement on last weeks. Was in stitches when they were doing the crash test at the top secret test centre just off the A5 near.......

The Lancia segment was pretty good last night, the caravan airship bit was utterly pointless, that red Stratos was

The caravan airship segment looked very promising to me, but then I thought there was going to be a second part later in the programme. There wasn't, and it just felt unfinished and indeed a bit pointless.

I have trouble believing the airship did really intruded into airport's airspace by accident. Funny how there were plenty of cameras, many of them on the ground, at the ready to film the 'incident'.

What I refuse to believe is that Norwich has an airport :hmm:

about how if Jeremey was doing something, it still wouldnt have finsished yet....or yet...or yet

i think

Nice to see the Delta Integrale getting some recognition as well, given that it's arguably one of the greatest road cars ever. I'd have liked to see them put it round the track, to see how it'd stack up against more modern sports saloons.

Overall I'm not very impressed with this seires of Top Gear. It's had its moments, but the whole programme's getting a bit tired now IMO.

Papa golf papa golf cannot comply have no control over airship please don't call the police. cock!

lol tho :D

but all these 'best bits' are all scripted. I just cant see how its enjoyable

the best bits of top gearare the production values and the amazing things they do...like the space shuttle/veyron vs jet

everything else is parp
