Raul Midón ~ Very impressive, but not really my thing.
Plan B ~ Good stuff. Nice bit of singing in there too. I think I've now liked pretty much everything I've heard by him.
The Strokes ~ I've never liked 'em, so I switched over every time they were on. (-Did they get to do
three songs?)
The Flaming Lips ~ Not been very keen on their latest album, but I like the two singles they played. Wayne Coyne's got such an infectiously positive attitude.
The Divine Comedy ~ Neil Hannon can sometimes be a bit too smug for my liking, but I thought they were good on this. He's never quite up there with Jarvis, but I think his lyrics are witty and full of dark humour, he's a sharp dresser, and he employs a mean banjo.
Cat Power ~ Just excellent. I could've listened to her all night. (-Kicking myself now for not getting to see her play earlier in the week. She cancelled a show back in January, then rescheduled it for this week, but this time
she was on form and it was
me that had to cancel for health reasons!)
I've not watched much of this series, but some people seem to think it's been a bit below par. Apart from The Strokes, I thought this was a real good 'un to finish the series with.
