Tomorrow's World

I thought I saw (a middle aged) Maggie Philbin on an advert last night - talking straight to camera. My 'other half' said it wasn't her, just looked a bit like her but I was sure it was her.

Antone else seen that advert ?

Re: Bigbry's comment
No, but 2 weeks ago, she appeared on the "20 most embarrasing things about the 80's" programme shown on Channel 5 discussing her "Lion's Mane" hair do & first generation cellphones during her Tomorrows World tenure....

I’ve always maintained “The future” starts in 2007. Don’t worry folks, all the cool future stuff will start from next year.

I remember seeing video recorders and fax machines on Tomorrow's World.

I also remember seeing this device that could paint metal poles (I have no idea why!) that sprayed paint all over everyone when they demostrated it :D

Wasn't it just fab? With the likes of Raymond Baxter, James Burke, William Woollard, Maggie Philbin, Judith Hann, Kieran Prendiville and the like. This was when the future was exciting rather than depressing.

Judith Hann has served me champagne while I was swimming in her pool.

In real life she does not have a robot butler who serves CDs spread with jam.
