however, quorn is also EEEEEEEEEEEVILLLLLLLLLL, whereas tofu is righteous delicious (when properly prepared) goodness :)
Why is quorn evil?!!! I let my lass eat that!!

I've just done what I should have done before-I googled baked tofu and got a critisism and personal comment free recipe for baked tofu from the internet. No more human interaction for me

Ahhhh I only just worked out what you meant by that!

Your grammar and punctuation are atrocious miss - I think your diet needs more protein :p

cripes, where to start...

let me see if I can find a good linky

well, for me, it's that quorn is an utterly utterly fake, insanely, intensely processed "food" stuff. which I think is pretty rank. that's my main contention with the stuff...

other people get allergic reactions to mycoprotein (what quorn is)

article: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0820/is_2003_Feb/ai_96893985

but there are others... google quorn is bad or something and you'll get other stuff....

Crusty - That article just says the studies done were misleading and most people seem fine on it....more or less.

Right well, I knew it was a fungus cos I read a little about it at the time, but was buoyed by the mahoosive protein amounts in it. And...although that link (crusty) says that some people had bad reactions to it, intolerances will happen with just about any foodstuff within a large population won't they?

Sub - yeh, it comes from that genus, doesn't mean that particular one causes infections, does it?

I just find it amusing (in a bemusing sort of over marketed way) that the much loved "Mushroom Food" or whatever they promoted themselves as has more in common with a biological warfare agent than your common or garden closed cup!

I still used to eat it though :o

yeah, I know, it's a balanced article - is just one of many... it never made me sick when I ate it... but it does make *some* people sick...

it's still utterly fake and disgusting - urgh...

So I asked for a recipe, had my entire values and ethics slagged off as well as my tastebuds. Then my grammar and punctuation! And people wonder why there's flouncing...
