As far as I'm concerned, it does. See my previous condimentalist comments re. dry food and my issues with it (plus of course hot buttered toast is just lush, on its own or with other toppings).

So really I should say: All toast demands, needs and loves butter.

I like olive oil on my toast. I also like fresh tomatoes, basil and a drizzle of olive oil. Or anything else that takes my fancy.

Beans are pretty good too, very occasionally.

Some square thick cut bread, toasted on one side, the other side rubbed with a fresh garlic clove, cheese layed onto it, 3 slices of tomato and some spring onion ringlets, toast, then frig a load of pepper onto it.
