You get better angles to bite at, so get more toast per bite without getting crumbs round your mouth if you cut.

had to get up last night and make toast after laying in bed thinking about it for an hour and failing to get to sleep. I had the 2 end bits of a orange warburtons loaf with original flavour marmite.

with beans on toast i always have one slice of complete toast with the beans on (i actually quite like the bean juice soaking into the bread) and then another slice cut into triangles at the sides. these stay crispy and are used for scooping up the beans that fall off the main slice.
