It's rank when it all melts in and turns the bread soggy! Bleugh!! Makes me heave. :(

I like my toast crispy thank you very much. :)
 
Either thick and lightly toasted, hot so the butter melts

or...

Thin, more heavily toasted, cooled so the butter sits on top.

With decent jam, marmalade or honey.

Listen, I toast anything that's toastable
Jamaican hard dough bread and fruit bun I toast with no trouble

They said it would put hair on my chest, but there is no stubble

I like toast white and I like my toast brown
My toast is an indication of how I get down
to the toasting, I toast better than anyone around
I toast so good my toast will leave you on the ground
My toast is so good that it's not even allowed
 
Apricot jam is the fucking best.

I also like ciabatta toasted in a ridged, cast-iron griddle pan and served cold with pepperonata and olive oil.
 
preferably just butter, but possibly marmite, cheese or honey.

most jam has stupidly too much sugar in for me. The st.darfour or whatever without sugar is nice, but I eat that spooned form the jar, not on toast.
 
wholemeal toasted til just before it's burned. Butter and marmite first choice but butter and lime marmalade is a good second! Where's the peanut butter option?:p (sorry...that's probably under weirdo requirements..:o)
 
Medium, brown, peanut butter or ginger conserve.

On white bread, I prefer marmalade.

I can't believe anyone actually prefers toast that isn't properly toasted though, or toast that's gone cold...bleurgh. Give me a nice hot slice of dark and crispy goodness any day.
 
Medium thick sliced wholemeal, toasted to golden on outside but still a bit soft in the middle. PB on one slice, and either orange and grapefruit marmalde or rhubarb and blackberry jam or honey on the other. Cut into 2 slices and arranged on a plate at right angles.
 
i prefer jam on white bread toast, gentleman's relish, marmite,bovril or any other spread on brown
 
Wholemeal with crunchy (nut only, none of this sunpat shit) whole nut peanut butter and a cup of strong coffee. No butter.

Apart from that I don't like toast.
 
Wholemeal, medium, left to go cold, thickish butter, then either plum jam (homemade), thinly spread marmite, or chilli jam and lancashire cheese

With avacardo, mixed with lemon juice and garlic and tamari, or avocardo and goats cheese or avocardo and humous.
