The Howard League for Penal Reform is organising and hosting the above international conference to develop the case for the abolition of prison and to rethink penal policy. I am not going to spoon feed you anything. I really want to go, I have already said that. However, I have a busy diary, kids, and financial constraints. It's not that hard to understand.

Penal abolition logically leads to de-criminalisation and no crime... It's one part of what is needed.

Exactly, if you think about it logically. However I doubt the theoretical principal of the removal of all laws could be done logically, far too simplistic.
And regardless of the obvious "remove all laws = no crimes commited" analagy, humans now have an inate knowledge of what constitutes a crime basically by their own human existence, regardless of whether it was technically not a crime in a criminal justice system.
So the theory is PIE IN THE SKY!!
