what are you 5?
No, just pointing out that i said 'It's not a competition' on that thread. So I don't know why you are accusing me of turning everything into a competition.

This weeks one was the best yet!

Whenever I'm feeling down, I'm gonna imagine Chris Moyles being raped in an ape suit to cheer me up.

Haven't seen any of the progs cos I'm not in the UK, but I've just had a quick look at the TT site. Some nice cartoony images in there, typical Ianucci stuff which I really enjoy listening to... is that what the telly show is made up of, though? Just Ianucci prompting and bods talking?

It's set about 30 years in the future looking back at the period 2006-2010. Has Old versions of celebs doing the talking heads thing, some brilliant spoofs using clever editing and CGI and some completely made up stuff.

I loved the item, where on January 21 2013, Tesco's declares war on Denmark, & wins 5 hours later.... ;)
The CGI Tesco "Fighting Machines/Walkers" were frighteningly realistic & as for the Value flatpack supermarket, well....

(but I won the argument :D )

and you reckon your not competative

chill really - not worth the stress.;) :D

Thanks whoever for the Clinton download

I think it's been steadily worse after the excellent opening show, but lasts night's stopped the rot.

Worth watching just to see Guantanamo bay still there after 30 years and turned into a city...

Enjoyed the jumbo jet taking the top off the houses of parliament too....:D

i thought it was a bit shit last night - which was a shame, as the subject matter was ripe for some serious piss-take... it raised a smile a few times, but that's all. shame, i've been very impressed so far...

i know i mentioned it in the thread i started (as i didnt see this one) but im gonna say it again, i think that every one of the shows should finish with the songs like CHanges with Tony Blair and David Cameron in the first show and then Bush and Rice in last nights, i think its great :D

Seen it all before in The Day Today and Brass Eye :(

yeah but you could say that about Graham Linehan who did Father Ted, then Black Books and then The IT Crowd, they all have there very similar points but i still love them all.

It's a similar style of humour, but he's hardly repeating himself. The jokes are new, the CGI is even more sophisticated and most of it is inspired by recent events that have happened since Brass Eye finished.

Here it is:

Always find Ianucci a bit hit and miss tbh. 'The Thick of It' was brilliant but 'Time Trumpet' just seems a bit over the top.

The Armando Ianucci Shows comes out on DVD on 4th September.

"Magic man David Blaine hooked all his nerves endings up to the internet so he could be controlled online for 40 days by anyone who connected with him......the public killed him in less then 3 secs."

Top episode so far.

yeah, shame it was the alst one of series 1

"It was really hard to choose. It's like being in a room with Dermot O'Leary, Jamie Theakston and Patrick Kielty and you have a shotgun and 2 cartridges....what d'you do?....empty two barrels into Kielty and then have fun with the rifle butt...."

This episode is the last you say, that kinda sucks, I definately thought this was one of the best episodes.

I think Time Trumpet is a brilliantly creative and fresh idea ...but I just don't think it has produced enough strong material to fill out a full series. Some of it has been sublime but too much of it has been very ordinary.

Maybe it needed more time and/or more writers. Or maybe it could have been a 1 hour special instead of a series.

Just got the Time Trumpet DVD from Love Film - looking forward to seeing how much of it has come true.
