good to see people at last - my hermette ways are finally over!

(especially onkette, who gave me a really lovely warm welcome, and then told me i'd bruised his ribs!:D)

She was brilliant and I'd love to get her down again, but I reckon she's well on the way to megagig stardom now!

She was a really nice person though. She was dead nervous before the gig too.

The ukulele band were real fun. In fact, it was a great bill last night - one of the best we've had.

And we got a good crowd there too! <phew!> :D

She was fantastic - a real talent.

Here's a pic of her in the Australian bakery that has a picture of a bloke with an angry face on their branding.

I'm disappointed that the angry face isn't visible in that picture :D

I just spent 20 minutes trying to find the company's 'angry face' logo on the web to no avail.

Josie Long was fucking brilliant , and so were the ukulele people although there was way less than 100 of them ( I would have demanded my money back if it wasn't free  ;) ) . They sort of reminded me of tom Waits but with ukuleles which was cool :D

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who has wasted half of the afternoon on this endeavour! :D

He said it was a 10 person band, but only 8 last night. So, I wonder why they call it the night of a 100 ukuleles?

They don't - the guy was saying last night that they always get called the wrong thing. Apparently they particpate in/organise the "Night of 100 Ukuleles" - which I understand *does* have many more ukuleles, perhaps even 100. But they're actually the "Dulwich Ukulele Club"

Blame editor ;)

Apparantly there is a night of 100 ukuleles rehersal in the Hobgoblin on Aug 4th if anyone wants a bigger uke fix
