I really want to come along, and have had it in my diary for ages, and the sun is trying to come out, so I might just manage it. My problem is that I can't stand for long periods....

Excellent idea! Shame it's a piddling little folding one. What a shame I don't have that old golfing umbrella with me. Now that would have been fun. :D

Actually, you can get ones which are quite comfortable. A friend of mine has one which she just opens up and sits on when she needs to, including in the middle of shops and things. It's fun watching the face of the salesperson when she does it.

I am not that confident/cheeky, though, and much more likely just to sneak quietly away....
 
Okay, so long as I can work out how to get there by bus from Waterloo (and I have a map, so I will manage somehow!), I will be there later.

But without shooting stick or umbrella hat, I am afraid :(

Josie Long was predictably fab.

And the ukeleles were unexpectedly brilliant! :cool:

Got there a little bit late, but saw the ukeleles... they were great... want to know what that odd percussion instrument that makes a football rattle sound is :D And was that box a special drum box thing? :D

sorry my cousine and i didn't make it due to extreme knackerdeness plus i got this troublesome telephone call re. work at 2200 pm!
 
I got there very late, caught the end of Josie Long who was funny even though I didn't know what she was on about & went (walked!) home to get to bed far too late & I'm shattered today. Rubbish.

But good.

That square box thing that he sat on and hit, was weird. Never seen anything like it!

I am not sure what you mean about the football rattle sound, though... Unless you mean the rainstick? He used one of those a few times....
 
I've seen them before.. at an Ojos de Brujos gig - two blokes having a battle between them :cool:

Just googled, and apparently it's a vibraslap :D :cool:


Oh, was a lovely surprise to bump into a grubby local just as I was leaving ;) :)
