Will let you know, but it sounds like an abomination.
Fuck, the Bernstein Post-Berlin Wall gig is slow and ponderous enough. Thing's supposed to be played allegro and with vim and verve...it's a celebration after all!!
I've only listened to the first 9 mins of the first part of the first movement and hacve just reached the first coda after the opening chords!! Sounds like the ocean...really, really quite trippy but shows the underlying power of the music.
Can be a wee bit frustrating tho - you keep wanting it to accelerate so you can really make the medlodies out!!
Me too... and she's great Not sure where you are reNnIe, but she's playing tonight at the Marquee in London only £12 (cheap for town), and only one gig!

recommend me some Gotan Project then - I discovered their version of Paris Texas a while ago and really like it
David Last live on Rythm Incursions. Listened to this last night while driving 50kms an hour through a snowstorm where all I could see out my window was swirling snow and it made for a very enjoyable evening.
I can't get enough of Why? which I found via the NYUB Podcast. Kind of like a mix between early Beck and Magnetic Fields maybe, but that probably doesn't do it justice. It's poppy but wierd, which is what I like.
Also the soundtrack for Hair! which I also got because somebody here mentioned it. So many tracks that I know and love but never knew came from it.
