This rice here

There comes a point when the rice starts to congeal in the bottom of the styrofoam container. That's the point when it goes into the garbage at my house.

No; your brain's relatively unscathed, isn't it?

My perception and mental health problems are caused by prescription drugs I was given 40 years ago for asthma, several blows to the head, and cruel and unusual punishment at the hands of the Benefits Agency. They have nothing to do with eating reheated food.

*separates pilch and toby*

you've all scared me :( (it wasn't fridged though, its been in the bowl on the worktop since about 6 :D)

And the control experiment that separated the variables was...? :p

I would have eaten it. Poisoning from rice is pretty rare. I don't tend to reheat it - but I eat it cold the next day.

Motorcycling is much safer when one wears a helmet.

Nothing to do with motorcycing. Concussion following a clash at rugby. A car accident where a tool box from the car that hit me came into my car and smashed me across the head. I was working on a 7.62 Italian anti-aircraft machine gun and the gun dropped backwards on the tripod and the receiver cover and bolt smacked me on top of the head. (I have a flat on the back of my head from that accident).

wtf does that have to do with my rice?

OK. Chicken is a high risk food. Handled, cooked, and reheated properly, it's fine.

But kept in warm and/or damp conditions (such as on a worktop) over a long period (such as since 6), it is asking for trouble. Especially when mixed in with another high risk food, rice.

Please bin it.

Have you ever had a piece of chicken in fried rice that wasn't so overcooked that it resembled nothing so much as shredded cardboard?

You're not really getting this, are you?

Aqua has stored this chicken at room temperature since 6pm. Pathogens love those conditions!
