This Life

No. I am thinking of the reunion episode that the BBC themselves announced.

Are you drunk or something?

BBC Four has had This Life's first series over the past few nights. It's made me exceptionally nostalgic - it was broadcast just before I went up to university. It still stands up well 24 years on. Don't know if they are going to show the second series, can't find it in schedules.

I watched an episode the other night - loved this in the 90s - it wasn't long after I moved to London, my life was

I was thinking about this series the other day and couldn't for the life of me remember what it was called.
Mates down the pub seemed to have totally blanked it out, was like talking to a bad AI:

"So, the guy from Walking Dead used to play an egg that was always shagging?"... wtf
"Was Keira Knightley in it?" <I'm pretty sure she'd have been two or something>
"Was it maybe called 'Legal Twats'...?"<no, that was a Reese Witherspoon film...>

Keira was 11 when it came out.

Liked it a lot at the time, and even for a rewatch or two on VHS copies which mrs_bob had (remember when box sets took up more room on your shelves than Encyclopaedia Britannica...)

The thought of watching it again now at my age fills me with horror.

I was a fan of this when it came out. I remembered it as both transgressive and one of those word of mouth/under the radar programmes.

I’ve enjoyed watching it on BBC4 for the 90’s references and for a nostalgia fix, but I’m with Imposs1904, it’s not aged well. Miles was a much bigger twat than I remember and Egg and Millie duller.

I love it, we have it on DVD but we’re watching it on telly. I was seven when it came out so the nostalgia thing is a bit lost on me in many ways, but I just love how 90s it is. And Anna is just a brilliant, brilliant character.

I love it too - not watching it on TV as I have the boxed set and watched it again only about two or three years ago (for what was probably the third time).

The lack of mobiles phones and the smoking indoors dates it, but they were good well-acted characters and their interrelationships were fascinating!

I rewatched on Britbox (using a free trial) recently and was as good as I remembered. Having spent some time at a City law firm since my last viewing it added a bit more on this viewing.

I believe Ricky Gervais was music (Britpop) consultant - an “outstanding” choice?

While this was on, was in Bar Italia one night with a friend and Andrew Lincoln was randomly in there too. His friend came over looking for a light and we ended up talking to them for a while. (His pal was a bit of a twat IIRC but then it was God knows what time and we were all really pissed so...)
