'can I be your girlfriend'

Sorry.

A lot of toons about cowboys these days since the release of "Brubeck Mountain".

I liked your tune though - well produced. What was the percentage of samples used?

I particularly liked the comment "Each of us has only one member" on the myspace site. :D

Fucking Hell!

Never had so many compliments! (um..three!)

When the studios fixed I'm gonna redo the vox etc, and get a mate do to a little video. We're going to go to a small town nightclub and get hoodied up - caps, earings - the works. The first part will be a 'chav trying to impress his mates by chatting up a suitablilty unimpressed 'chavette', and then will finish with him and his mates all doing a synchronised dance on the floor while everyone watches, mouths agape. When it finishes they'll all wander off like nothig happened back to their area of the club and carry on drinking, muttering 'thats was shit, mate'

And if anyone steals this idea - i want half the profits! :D

I don't know if you can call them samples but I do tend to loop the best recordings of what I have recorded. The drums on 'can I be your girlfriend are a friend of mine who played them for the song, I looped my favourite bits and played the rest over the top (I then copied my favourite phrases and pasted them which I guess why it all sounds like samples)

Is this all making any sense? Basically I sort of sample myself. No nicked samples.

Good recordings I suspect would be down to the fact that I used to be a sound engineer, so in reality they should be much better recordings than they are.

Heres the Fatter Faction entry. Its a Star Wars tribute. Were all fucking star wars nuts , so its only proper that we made tune. Its called Rebel Base

Its on our soundclick site.

Right, not done this for a while... have done loads of tracks since Xmas, but this one is probably the best one for you lot...

"It Won't Give Up"

A nice fat slice of dark drum and bass to wake you up.

I seem to get problems with low end distortion when converting the original aiff file to MP3, hope this isn't the case for everyone else - let me know if it sounds really bad and I'll re-upload it.

Nice pk. Sounded great this end. :)

Cheers dude. ;)

I think having just played the streaming version, the bassline is definitely distorted, it's just one of those frequencies... sounds OK, but not intended...

The best way to hear this is to download it and when playing it out from iTunes or whatever, use the Bass Reducer, seems to work fine then... I normalised it all to about 75 percent, so nothing was clipped, it's a weird problem in the frequencies in mp3 compression...

Anyway, there it is.
