possibly, I mean if they play him in this and he strains it again - surely a big possibility then he could be out for the whole series! I'd rest him up make sure hes fully fit before unleashing for 4th and 5th tests - if they rush him back then they are basically saying they have no faith in their back up bowlers....

Quite possibly - I don't believe half of these last minute fitness tests ever take place. Esp on star players.
edit: lookig forward to this like i haven't looked forward to a test in ages. We've had a great serie so far, going to have to be pretty bloody special one to beat the first two tests though...
