Things that you saw on television that weren't supposed to happen

Yes once on Little House on the Prairie there was a court case and after the verdict the audience in the courtroom was supposed to mumble to each other in surprise. Apparently they were given short lines to say. Well one lady was close to the boom microphone and you could hear her very clearly say, "I've heard that somewhere before!"

A U.S senator (or govenor) shot their brains out live at a press conference didn't tey?
that would have made me get offa the couch.

I once saw a weather boy (boy!) do what I would have guessed was his first live national broadcast.
he collapsed in nerves. could of done with a few benzo-s and a stiff whisky I'm telling you.
felt sorry for him more than anything.
haven't seen him since /...

Budd Dwyer

There have been others. Ricardo Cerna and some woman news reporter whose name escapes me, for starters.

Budd Dwyer. An American local politician accused of corruption shot himself during a press conference. He committed suicide while still in office so that his family would get the pensions and stuff that wouldn't have been due if he'd been kicked out first. I've seen the film; it's not particularly grisly.

You probably shouldn't watch that unless you really want to see someone shoot themselves in the head.

Radio not TV, but one of my old lecturers used to present a radio show called "Arts Facts." And at the end of the show once said "You have been listening to Arse Farts."
