I agree with this - great festie food. And theres nowt wrong with tinned tuna, I'll have you know.

On the other hand, mushrooms in tins should be banned, and if anyone's ever experienced the horror that is tinned processed cheese, you have my sympathies.

Tinned fish is just wrong. Compressed little cans of dandruffed fish-flaked nastiness, added like slurry to pasta sauces and mixed with industrial gloop mayonaisse to mask the unnatural flavour.

The spanish may do it better with their meatily preserved Ortiz cans, but we've thankfully gone well past the point where Napoleon's army were impressed by preserving any old nastiness in tin. Let us salute the humble fridge/freezer...

I sometimes stir a can of Sardines in Oil into Tesco own brand instant mash (flakes) ... sometimes with a few cold baked beans ... tahini ... chilli sauce ...
