thick of it movie - "In the Loop"

Can't wait! :)

I 'heart' Peter Capaldi. :)

I like the specials better than the series - have them on my Sky+ box and watch bits of them whenever I feel a bit fed up. :D

brilliant :D

'allow me to pop a jaunty little bonnet on your parvue and ram it up your shitter with a lubricated horse cock'

classic Malcolm Tucker :D

minor gripe, by why can't they call olly "Olly" instead of "Toby"?

Anyways, appetite officially wetted...

I cannot fucking wait for this!! Oh yeah when the fuck are the specials getting a dvd release??

that's what I want to know - my Sky box is on the blink and I don't feel I can face life without a quick shot of the 'mimsy bastard Quisling leakfuck' -or words to that effect :D

You have rather a pained expression. Do you take it up the chutney? :D

Fab, I'll be seeing that. Watched the series on DVD while breastfeeding. I understand it's painfully accurate to those who've worked in government or the civil service.

It's painfully accurate for anyone who's dealt with Ministers, their advisors or government departments generally... :D

I want a giant Malcolm Tucker poster on the outside of my door with him saying "Come the fuck in or fuck the fuck off.":D

wasn't really watching it....but i think he was quite cynical, trying to deny that Malcolm Tucker was based on him!

I saw the kulcha sho last night specifically to watch the Campbell review...he was chewing his face off for most of it, so I reckon it was reasonably close to the mark in intent, if not the actualité of the situations. I also suspect that I'll agree with Campbell and Kermode in the way they both said it loses it's way when it leaves London and goes to the UN bit...

Yeah I was wondering about that too...

Fucking limited release! UNBELIEVABLE. I can't watch it in Npton, and have to wait to see it in Manchester a weekend from now. What a bunch of crap. Good British comedy gets shunted for Nicolas Cage and his fucking shitty haircut. Bellend!

You bastard, they'd sold out by the time I found out about that

Try hanging around for returns just before it starts. They often reserve too many seats for the liggers and have to offload one to the plebs at the last minute when there's too much chaos to give it to whoever deserves it. You just have to spot the manager, eavesdrop and pounce. I got one for the Tarantino Q&A that way - middle of row 3. Didn't even know it was on, just wandered in when I saw all the TV cameras and the velvet rope. Wound Quentin up very nicely with my question, which was the only one that didn't start with "You're a genius, your dialogue is the work of a genius, what's it like to be the best" etc.

I'm seeing it on Saturday. Armando Ianucci doing a Q&A on stage afterwards. Ritzy ftw!

I met him last night at work and he really is a lovely man. Not remotely starry - just very warm and friendly and normal.
