Nah, we don't need another battling midfielder, we're fine with parker, collison, noble and behrami ta. But apparently that's what you've quoted Wolves, which is absurd when Liverpool are only offering 10m for Barry.

If he's a battling midfielder I'm Bette Midler.

Diff is between making an offer (Liverpool) and trying to get a price (Spurs). I sense this might be where you've been going wrong all these decades.

£8M for Thud, he's yours. Battling midfielder he ain't, strolling around doing sod all but with a great pass... thats him alright!

i do like huddlestone, reckon he will be a good player in a few years time.

Needs a competent defensive midfielder next to him though.

I reckon he would do well at west ham seeing as parker and behrami can do all his work for him.

He is the biggest footballer i have ever seen. he looks like rhino!

As I've mentioned before he's a quarter back, imo not the agility for defensive midfiield nor the athleticism for attacking midfield - at least not in the top half of the Prem.

But most def a lovely weighted 80 yard pass

nor the athleticism for attacking midfield - at least not in the top half of the Prem.

When he leaves the pies alone for a bit, I think he's got one of the most athletic builds I've seen. I suspect the problem's more in his head than his muscles.

Which, looking on the sunny side, means a good manager/coach should be able to get that athleticism into his game.

was he missplacing his passes as if he was blind?

huddlestone = carrick. Just a few years behind and without the benefits of THE academy eduction.

Palacois is a quality signing for you lot and yeah they should blend well togethr certainly better then with jeenas the penis.

how?

bloke who likes to ping 40-50-60 yard passes around the place, gets accused of never working hard or getting dirty. The pharse quarterback was practiclly coined for carrick(other then american football obviously), both need a proper defensive midfielder next to them to get the best out of em.

Very very close to being the same player.

But carrick is twice the player of huddlestone at the moment.

Huddlestone has to handle the ball under pressure a lot, lot better to be anywhere near as good as Carrick. His passing is very good though.

Carrick will be an England player for years. Not sure Huddlestone has quite got it, and it's a competitive position.

He looked much better in the wafer, where people stood back politely and gave him time to think about what pocket he wanted to pot the ball into and off how many cushions.

Unless Fulham go into receivership in the next couple of days, that skill won't be terribly useful.

but they would have "melted" under the pressure and wouldn't be able to move, or run or play or look like competent footballers, and would blow up.
