These trainers?

There's no denial. I have more spending power than you, so what? But I don't see why you need to bring it up whenever you see fit. I was being realistic about the absurd price of trainers, you chose to have a pop at my alledged spending power....

They're all right, wouldn't be my kind of Nikes. These are my trainers:

Btw: £54 for a pair of Nikes, fucking bargain if you ask me. And it aint got fuck all to do with your wealth, if you work hard enough and save up it's nothing. You can spend £60 on a night out and not remember a thing in the morning.

You don't think someone's income affects their perception of what represents good value?

How strange.

Of course I do. But why the fuck are you bringing this up? The op likes the trainers and is happy to pay the money it seems.

Look at Inigmas post.. £54 for a pair of Nike is a bargain... if the OP thought it was a shit price, he wouldn't be loking at them. So, why the fuck are YOU bringing this up? or my ability to pay etc...

The OP asked for an opinion. I gave one. You piped up to say you think they're good value. I disagreed. El Jefe thought they looked 'cheap.' Spanglechick wasn't impressed.

You said they weren't over priced and I made the entirely reasonable point that someone's income can affect their perception of what represents good value. I'm still not sure where the Welsh miners come into it.

Your own trainers look much nicer though. How much did they cost?
You can spend £60 on a night out and not remember a thing in the morning.
Perhaps you can, but not everyone can, you know. Really.

Oh come off it mate. You probably make more money than I do, I balance my job between my studies and I still can afford to splash out now and again for a pair of trainers. Don't make this into a "poor people can't afford good trainers" argument cos it's bullshit.

Am I not allowed to say they seem good value? Others did. But you bring up my 'spending power'. Get over it.

I didn't respond to you, I responded to the OP.

Ah, you're welsh and get pissy even when it wasn't directed really at the welsh, it's just more interesting to say than Asian sweat shops, don't let that affect the potato wedge on your shoulder though.

I didn't say that though, did I?

I simply said that while you may "spend £60 on a night out and not remember a thing in the morning," that's not necessarily true for everyone.

But it's true for the OP. you fuking KNOW him!! As do I!!

Geezus...

Am I not allowed to say they seem good value?
What a bizarre thing to say. Of course you're free to say what you like - even if that includes odd references to Welsh miners- just like I'm free to express an opinion that someone with more sending power may have a different view of what represents good value.

How much did the pair of trainers you posted up cost? They look quite nice.

I didn't say that though, did I?

The "spending power" argument seems to suggest that imo.

Maybe so but the point I was trying to make is that it's all relative. £54 for a pair of those make is fuck all in the grand scheme of things, I was merely pointing out that you can spend more money on a piss up than buying them.

Why does it matter to you Ed?

I'm happy to post up what they cost, but I'm wondering what YOUR motives are... You and I already agreed I have spending power, so what?

Materialism seems to more of a concern to you than anyone else.
Now that's a really fucking odd thing to say.

We're talking about trainers and value for money and Kanda - unprompted - posted up a picture of his trainers, which look rather nice.

So I asked how much they cost. What's odd about that?

He was posting a picture of his trainers. I did the same.

Here we go then.. £160

Now, what do you have to say about that? ;)

They're NOT VFM though!
Like I said, value for money is all relative.

If you're happy with them, that's good enough for me. Really.

I was just curious how much they cost, that's all. No need for all the palaver.

:D
