In an effort to be colour-coordinated many people end up looking very bland. Trainers are one thing you can go nuts with.

Hmmm...Nike certainly played their part, and some of the runners they put out in the 80s were stunning - Internationalist, Omega, Odyssey, Oceania, Epic etc. My favourite trainers at the moment are my Nike Vortex, which are as close as I'll get to the Nike Airborne I had in about 1986.

Overall though, Adidas have made more classics than Nike.

As for the Nikes in the OP - it's a 'no' from me.

Nike Vortex are mint. I love my Nike Elite as well.
