To be fair it was at one time, I believe, the largest observation wheel in the world, so the info is just a bit out of date.London Eye people get rather annoyed when you call it a ferris wheel. The reaction you get is rather like calling a Dyson vacuum cleaner a 'hoover' in front of someone from Dyson.

And it's not the biggest in the world either, that title currently belongs to the Singapore Flyer if you accept 2/3 of the London Eye's definition, or possibly the Star of Nanchang.
Most Yanks can speak English.

That site is generally quite bizarre. There's some sort of scam going on but I'm not precisely sure what it is. It looks a bit extensive for them to just take people's money and run, though they might be.
I'm certain they don't have anything to do with Virgin, despite claiming that their chairman is Richard Branson and that they offer trips to his "private game reserve".

i've been to the wiener library, and very interesting it is too, but it's not the sort of thing i would travel to london to see.See hundreds of books, writings, and photographs related to the Holocaust at the Wiener Library.
TBH, while a lot of it is silly, I don't see anything wrong with the suggestions to see stuff outside of London (White Cliffs, Bath etc.)
Do we need longdog on the case?

If you're here for more than one day they're places that could easily be visited in a day trip from London. And in any case the feature is titled "101 Things You Must Do While in (or Near) London".Well, they're really not that near London. They're England recommendations. not London.

TBH I don't drive so I was thinking more of taking the train. They're only about an hour and a half each away from London.True, I hadn't noticed the 'or near.'
Dover and Bath are still really not that near, though. I know Americans have a difference level of acceptance when it comes to driving distances, but that's on American motorways, not British ones.

Stopping in Eton? On the way to/from where? I mean if they'd said go to windsor for the day and stop in Eton for amusement while you're there then fair enough. It's not a very helpful list.See where Princes William and Harry went to school by stopping in Eton.
Not only can you not visit his residence, you can't even walk down Downing Street anymore.Find out where British Prime Minister Gordon Brown lives: 10 Downing Street. Visit his residence.

I know you can't get there directly by train but can't you just get a train to Salisbury and get a bus from there? I dunno, I've never done it. But I know that London Walks do day trips to Salisbury and Stonehenge so you could easily do it with someone like them.Stonehenge - nightmare to get to from London by train.
