If I was ever banged up in an American Penitentiary I'd want to be Omars bitch :D
Noooooooooo you'd end up on the landing sliced open with your eyeballs hanging out, covered in cigarette burns as a warning message:eek:

It depends on how cute Belushi is. They may well live happily ever after as Omar is a) gay and b) never inflicts death or injury without a good reason.

you gotta be in 'the game' to feel the wrath of omar

Still need to get round to watching The Wire, need to find more hard drive space before i can download so much! Am desperately waiting for the 6th and final series of The Shield to start in the US, that's got to be my favourite cop show.

Equally want to check out deadwood when i've got the disk space.

Has anyone else been watching Day Break by the way? I thought it was one of the most original and interesting shows of late, can't believe it's been cancelled  I hear Bravo has bought it so hopefully it'll get shown in full over here.

Am really starting to get pissed off with US broadcasters pulling really good series' - Firefly among others spring to mind.

That's what I like about him. He has his own moral code - when he was in court giving evidence against Bird he was very specific about never going after civilians. He's also very funny. I *heart* Omar as well.

That was a fantastic moment, after Bird's lawyer accused him of being a parisite feeding off the misery of drug dealers. Omar drawls "Just like you man - I got the gun, you got the briefcase. S'all in the game, yo?"

 Omar:cool:

Downloading series 1 + 2 now.

It better be as good as everyone reckons it is, else I will have you all killed.

b-b-b-b-bump

oodles of coverage in the Guardian & Observer this weekend. Can't really disagree with any of it tbh.

S4 starts on SFX this week for those with a 'box'

roll on the torrents for S5 :D

Just watched the first two episodes of season 3, Aiden Gillen is a good casting as the ambitious councilman.

Didnt relaise until I read one fo the sunday papers that McNulty is played by an Englishman!

Just finished Series 3, still brilliant, but I don't think either 2 or 3 topped Series 1.

Maybe cos you knew 2 and 3 would be great, whereas with 1 you didn't know too much about it and there was this growing realisation a short way into it that this was exceptional tv. Maybe the best ever.

Can't face watching 4 on the telly, can't be doing with the telly-selly ad breaks and weekly interrupts...just got to avoid spoilers until boxset.

I've got two episodes left.

Having been brought up by my Nan I share Omars righteous wrath at what happened to his Grandma

I nearly shot my load when Brother Mozone reappeared :D

Yeah, the first couple of episodes I thought it was just going to be a bog standard police procedural then I got completely drawn in.

Flat mate has S1 DVD and I got s2 and s3 as soon as I saw it out on the living room. I will get round to it when I am feeling twatted on a sunday morning.

Got season 3 of Deadwood to finish then it's heads down and into the Wire.

The Americans really leave us standing with this stuff, don't they?

Someone at work mentioned that. He said the series all look like movies. The production quality is so high I would have to agree.

It helps having the home of movies as a back drop and near constant sunshine, but any of the big US tv series are something that I could never see produced here. Its not as if the BBC don't have the cash, but they have to accommodate all for the license fee.

i'm a late convert to this, bought season 1 to watch while we were on holiday in dorset, it was fucking brilliant, easily the best thing i've seen in years, just borrowed season 2 from a mate...:)
