A friend of mine's ex was heavily involved in the fan club but I still didn't get to meet them although Ginge is on my list of would like to meet people.

I met him once backstage at glasto, he was really shocked to be recognised there, and sang me and a mate an acapella version of 'red light - green light'- top man!

when i was a teenager i blagged my way into the aftershow for the wildhearts at the island in ilford and i found them all to be fucking lovely people. amongst the nicest "famous" people i've ever met. for a start they tolerated us at their quiet post-gig drinks!

3 Colours Red - worst name - bugged me when I was a kid. You can have 3 shades of red FFS not colours  :D

Thats after a movie though isnt it?

Trois couleurs: Rouge - Some trilogy, I am sure thats where they got their name from

actually i love that trilogy - blue is one of my favourite films ever. (is it blue, the first one?)
still a shite band though.

I can beat that. I saw Tyketto supporting Queensryche :o

In my defence I was young at the time.
In my defence, my dad worked for a paper and the music hack would give him freebies for the gigs he'd never go to in a squillion years.

Going to see them tonight in Bristol, love 'em, woohoo!
What's the tour like then, Gerry? How much of the new album are they playing?

I bought it today - tis very good indeed, reminiscent of Fishing For Luckies more than anything else. Slaughtered Authors is my favourite track so far.

Have the wildhearts ever had quiet post gig drinks?

The tour's ace as well, the new bassist is in line with random jon poole in terms of roockingness, and ritch battersby's brill as ever. CJ seemed a bit subdued and down, dunno why, just kinda hid at the edge of the stage.

They didn't actually play that much off the new album, and ginger seemed a bit dismissive of it in a way, and of 'the wildhearts must be destroyed' as well, which was odd.

But they played so many classic tunes, right back to earth vs days at least, one of those gigs where you think, 'i'll go for a piss during the next song', and then you're not able to cos the next song's as classic as the one before, and the next one, and the next.

Only shame was the realisation that all the fans are pretty old now, and there was no real moshpit. It's not gonna be like it used to be in terms of a wildhearts moshpit ever again.:(

Well I've gone and got me a ticket for tonight at Koko. Friend of a friend of a friend couldn't make it so I thought it would be a good way end the weekend.

Anyone else going?
