for a start they tolerated us at their quiet post-gig drinks!
Have the wildhearts ever had quiet post gig drinks?
The tour's ace as well, the new bassist is in line with random jon poole in terms of roockingness, and ritch battersby's brill as ever. CJ seemed a bit subdued and down, dunno why, just kinda hid at the edge of the stage.
They didn't actually play that much off the new album, and ginger seemed a bit dismissive of it in a way, and of 'the wildhearts must be destroyed' as well, which was odd.
But they played so many classic tunes, right back to earth vs days at least, one of those gigs where you think, 'i'll go for a piss during the next song', and then you're not able to cos the next song's as classic as the one before, and the next one, and the next.
Only shame was the realisation that all the fans are pretty old now, and there was no real moshpit. It's not gonna be like it used to be in terms of a wildhearts moshpit ever again.
