I've eaten pike in France

apparently people don't eat them in the UK, just catch them and throw then back in the water

I've eaten pike in the UK. Caught by a friend of my dad. Nice tasting but lots of 'Y' shaped bones in it.

I'd eat carp, why not?

it's meant to have a lot of bones in it from what I hear, but I'd try it

I thought carp tasted very earthy unless purged for a few days before hand

Carp dissappearing maybe something to do with some Eastern Europeans eating carp. (Try a Google on it, there have been quite a few instances).
