The Who - hope I die before I get old

These issues just conveniently disappear when they need to.

I liked the Who. I still think Live at Leeds is one of the best albums ever, never mind live albums. But we don’t have the Who any more. We have half of the Who. We don’t have Keith Moon’s replacement. We don’t even have his replacement’s replacement. In fact, this isn’t even their first farewell tour.

I don’t mind musicians carrying on doing their thing. What else are they supposed to do? They’re musicians! But somehow Robert Plant manages to preserve his dignity. (And he was just a copy of Roger Daltrey singing like Steve Marriott). I don’t get that from Roger Daltry and Pete Townshend. I just feel embarrassed for them.
I heard only yesterday that they have sacked Zak Starkey Twice. I had no idea they were planning a tour!

It's always difficult being a band with original members who have been together for decades before you joined. And they can be full of shit.*

*a personal story will be told here one day!
They have always been prone to fights. If it wasn't moon getting wasted, it was something else, like Zak playing too loud 😂
Rock should be powerful n full of passion and anger

Apparently Zak was playing an electronic kit which is pretty much silent without amplification!

Have just seen this today and enjoyed it a lot. I think if you see it , you just have to remember it’s another interpretation - this time through a ballet lens - and not a ‘stage show’ of the film.

I had a good value ticket: £15 in Tier 2. I’d consider paying a bit more to be closer to the stage.
