If you make accusations like that then is it any wonder that I'm fucking annoyed? Withdraw now and apologise.

Your 'apology' was half hearted and the above bullshit emphasises that it is still the case.

why do pk and dub never get final warnings for trashing threads??

Because they're usually your attention seeking shite threads, and hence don't matter in the grand scheme of things?

Just a guess. And you know I'm right, too.

They've both been banned in the past. Several times, IIRC.

In fact, pk was banned last week.

I fancy that rather fucks up your whining, no?

Anyhow, proceed at your peril.

i'm not whining

i can't be fucked, i kinda like most of the people on here, i like pk and dub when they aren't in their neighbourhood watch mode, but when they are it's tragic, and banworthy:D

Is there a bass solo anywhere as fine as that on My Generation? Seriously, if anyone knows of any bass solos as great as that, I'd like to know.

I can't think of any other bass solos that don't suck.

John entwistle is the man.

My life's in jeopardy
Murdered in cold blood is what i'm gonna be

Forgive the near four year old bump but this is a timeless band....

I fucking love The Who, just listening now and they never sound anything apart from amazing. I am sure they are appreciated in these circles but seem to be woefully overlooked so often when people are discussing the best rock bands.

Example

I've seen the who and the kinks....The Who at Wembley Stadium in about 1979/1980...had to sleep outside in the car park the night before, to make sure we were first thru the turnstiles and ran down the front...obviously....cracking bill too...The Who, The Stranglers and ACDC....spent the night after the show also sleeping in the car park...just because it was a glorious hot night and turned into a bit of a WHO sing a long....woke up Sunday morning with the market being erected around us. Daltrey can sing in a stadium and it wasnt too big for him, have seen a few who have been lost...he wasnt. Always had a soft spot for Behind Blue Eyes.

Went to see the stage show of Tommy many times in the same years....only recently sold the programme on ebay for a tidy packet...Allan Love played Daltrey and Peter Straker played a blinder....am sure he has since died, but he was bloody fantastic in that show.

The Kinks I saw I think at Hammersmith...had a lot on vinyl, since gone awol, must replace them...apart from the obvious very early stuff, they had an album....not sure maybe called Sleepwalker...which if I remember correctly I played some serious welly out of....good choons....didnt see Ray Davies do his Waterloo Sunset stint on the South Bank last summer....meant to, but couldnt at the last moment.

Both what I think of as distinctively London bands....altho they probably hail from essex/kent etc etc...but you know what I mean....Southern, in the way that Oasis had the Northern sound covered. And both bands have a catalogue that have stood the test of time...good stuff chaps.
