Is BC British Columbia? I don't think they could play the 23rd and get there in time, but maybe the 22nd?sojourner said:Has anyone read the review about the Nashville gig in NME? There's an intriguing finishing line:
Jack's back and he's warming up for Glasto part two. Hushed silence awaits...
Do you think...maybe...??
I just checked the dates again, and they're playing Tennessee on 17th June, and then BC on the 24th...leaving 22nd and 23rd open...I thought initially this might be just some time off...but now I'm wondering
What do you reckon?
It's not entirely unfeasible though, is it?Maggot said:Is BC British Columbia? I don't think they could play the 23rd and get there in time, but maybe the 22nd?
Did you hear about them playing a gig for the Chelsea Pensioners?

Was it a big venue? All the venues they're playing in the uk are fucking massive. I'm more than a little put out by that

ade said:They could have played the smaller venues more than one night.
But it boils down to, do more shows, or do one show. They are popular enough to fill the arena's so they probably choose the later.
Who can blame them.
brokenyolk said:great footage of the bar gig in halifax.....

Oh fantastic - I'm insanely jealous nowbrokenyolk said:it was a medium sized venue down at the docks - 2000 people (with two great big ships dominating the huge windows of the venue - one freight ship and an old fashioned sailboat! - and there was a guy there dressed and exactly made up as captain jack sparrow)
and it was very very easy to get tickets for - we brought them from the supermarket!! i like it here!
Just watched all the secret gigs - the bus one's really funny, some guy nearly wetting his pants
I wish you'd got me tickets for the Rivoli Ballroom show.sojourner said:I'd rather they played smaller venues, yes
I've never struggled to get tickets for them

Absolute cunts.Macabre said:That gig was a really sore point for me; Ticketwanker sold most of them on presale over the weekend to all the media types, then put them on sale to the public an hour before they advertisedAbsolute cunts.
ade said:I never use ticketmaster etc whenever i can avoid them. If the venue itself has a box office, ring that up or use their website. It tends to be much quicker and less faffing about. Plus the website doesn't die on you when 2 million are all trying to get tickets at the same time for one particular tour.
If your an old codger like me you usually get better seats from the venue directly as well.

I would have done but they stressed they didn't want any miserable fuckers thereMaggot said:I wish you'd got me tickets for the Rivoli Ballroom show.
