You're not alone A great caff fry-up is hard to beat, but sometimes I actually prefer to make my own and have the control element - knowing what kind of veggie sausages you're going to get, knowing in advance if you're going to fuck it up...nothing worse than slavering for an amazing fry-up and being presented with a rubbish one. And don't get me started on the variable quality of tea in caffs.
I had a really good fry up in Peckham yesterday but I can't remember what it was called..I'll find out next time I go down there.
I had 2 bacon, fried tomatoes (proper style),beans,2 eggs,a big sausage, hash browns (plenty),mushroom and a bit of fried bread plus some crusty and a brew for like 4 quid
It was just out the pan as well.I've been to some cafe's and got lukewarm sausage and cold eggs.Gross
Archway is good for a row of greasy spoons-all cheap, all huge platefuls with veggie options and bubble and squeak!!Mmmmm. The Hercules off Holloway road does fried halloumi with its veggie brekkie for three or four quid.
