the wednesday lunch thread

I love benylin specially the drowsy one. :o

so do i, i hate the fact you have to ask for it specifically:mad:

Tuna sarnies.. dunno they always seem like a cracking idea but then half way through i am normally yearning for a cheese sarnie.:(

Honestly i could eat a small child dipped in mustard today.. i wonder if i have a worm?

Tuna sarnies are a bit dry and I hate tuna mayo so I have a tiny bit of ketchup and lots of pepper. :o

Today is Wednesday, and this is about lunch.

I have a malted wholemeal loaf that's about 24 minutes off ready; some utterly fucking lush cherry vine tomatoes; some posh French cheese Artichoke brought back from France last week; and some organic, free range, dah dah dah bacon that I cooked for breafastunch about 2hrs ago.

And lots of rocket.

This is going into either a soft straight-up sandwich or two, or the most kick-ass toastie ever.

I am having the curry from this story;

A good bit was my landlady (lives upstairs) came down THRICE with curry & rice & pakoras and the 2nd time I answered the door I said 'is this pudding?' so she came back down again with cake :D

it was amazing! :)

no crackling but i'm not a massive fan though so not too bothered.

I just liked that post of yours before I'd realised this was an old thread.....read on...then found that I'd actually quoted it the first time around too, hehehe :D

Really *LIKE* though, tbf!

*WANT* in fact :(

I'm making bacon/mayo/cucumber sandwiches once my mum gets here (soon I hope cos I'm fucking starving  ....although, there again :hmm: *yak yak yak yak yak* I can wait a bit longer, tbf).

isnt this the same as the 'what you having for lunch' thread :hmm:

Anyway, i've had my lunch (although i'm sure there'll be more food needing to be eaten before home time). Had slightly odd sweet chilli cottage cheese sandwich, a banana and piece of chocolate fudge cake (that all the other women in the office refuse to touch because they think they're all so obese ).

I had curly fries.

I want curly fries.

Waitrose hadn't had their salad delivery (1st world probs etc), just what was left from the day before. I had a layered tuna salad with a small chicken and & pasta salad mixed into it. It was very bland, and was only made vaguely palatable by the addition of much salt, pepper and piri piri sauce.

I would recommend the piri piri sauce though, a Portuguese colleague brought it in as I wanted to taste one of their traditional piri piris and its lovely. Not especially hot but a very good taste, beats the pants off Nandos rubbish. This one:
