The Weather Project

It's hard to actually capture rain in a photo. You either need to see the drops hitting a surface or have strong light to see the drops mid-air.

(This was taken at the Rise Festival in Finsbury Park)

Wow, chintz. Nice photography! But terrible circumstances. Do you live in the area and are you ok?

Cheers

I do live in Worcester but I am above the flood area, travel has been a problem though because lots of roads have been closed.

Blimey, that brings back a few memories good and bad. Wonder what The Boat at Jackfield is/was like. Remember all the old photos of floods and the measuring stick. Not like it's a totally new phenomenon even in Summer.

That isn't now. The leaves have gone. That's winter.

Fond memories of that little boozer. A regular haunt of my teens. Booze and girls all to be enjoyed with a relatively innocent mind and optimism. Haven't been there for almost 20 years

I have one vivid memory of walking down the hill to Jackfield from Broseley wearing a brand new pair of white Puma trainers (in the days when Puma were very uncool). Every time a car drove past my feet glowed bright white with reflected light (effect enhanced a little in my own mind for some reason :D ).

You have a very keen eye mr Edwards ;)

That was a pic from the Feb 2004 floods, but it was in a similar state of underwaterness give or take a foot when I last passed through Ironbridge.
