The Warriors. Director's cut

wouldn't work. the point is, the audience - identifying with our 'heroes' - never knows 'why'. it becomes a pure battle of survival, which means 'bad guys' become 'good guys'. in the theatrical release we have the cholo, but that's a macguffin. and we never find out exactly what napoleon did either.

that's why it's a great film.
Nup :D

the cops raid the gang at the start of the movie and lots of them are shot. Its in revenge to that.

However, i don't think your meant to understand their robotic desire for cops blood and their inhuman stupidity (continuously climbing through open windows that have people with guns on the other side.

Wasn't The Warriors directed by Walter Hilll though? Not that John Carpenter isn't great. I think The Thing is my favourite film ever.

  Just checking round on the net and found this

The Warriors remade by Tony Scott?

Why can't they just leave films alone?

Precisely. I refuse to watch the remake of Precinct 13 for that reason.
And they dont need to remake the Warriors with the game theyve just brought out.
