I say the right answer is james hetfield of metallica and i don't really give a shit if everyone thinks i'm wrong. I'm not.

Nonsense!! Bon was definetly objectified.
I can judge Bon on his talent and his looks :D

He's right-up there for me too. On voice alone!

Others in different moods would have to include Lemmy, Phil Lynnot, Bruce Dickinson & of course, Phil Mogg of UFO:

Oh, happy days! :D

I'm looking at that photo and thinking that's not AC/DC  :o

Goes back to front page and multiple pictures of Bon

I saw UFO about 10 years ago (I blagged it!) and they were pretty poor. The highlight was a rather overdressed Mogg running to the drum riser, misjudging a jump onto it and cracking his shin :D

No doubt they were. The last time I saw them (early-mid 80s) they were tiring badly. However, for this I'm thinking back to the Strangers in the Night/No Place to Run tours in the late 70's when they were really on top form!

Hmmm surely the ultimate rock frontman, love him or hate him has to be Freddie Mercury although perhaps he doesnt fit the metal niche category (Bon would be my second choice).

Honourable mentions would go to Phil lynott (whom I saw with grand slam a few weeks before he died...he was quite fat and yellow) and Dave Wyndorf (Monster Magnet)

In your VH slamdown its hard to find between Dave Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar although DLR in his prime would win for me.

I too have a soft spot for Mr Mogg. I saw UFO last year for first time in ages, they were really good and back on track after wasting too much time trying to keep michael schenker sober. new guitarist vinnie moore is excellent and pete way very funny as usual.

I wouldn't call Freddie heavy rock or metal, myself. Scott Weiland's pretty good live; sort of a cross between Jim Morrison, David Bowie and Freddie Mercury.

Please. Don't put FM and Bon in the same sentence ever again. Promise me?

Hmmm tough call between

*sighs* he really was a beautiful man, lots of not very good photos of him around that don't do him justice IMO
