The 'Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps Is Shite' Thread

Any comedy set in Runcorn is ok by me. Two Pints is everything Hollyoaks should be, but isn't. Saw it last night on BBC3 - loadsa laughs.

I was about to set a thread asking who likes this utter unfunny drivel, but rightly suspected that someone would have beat me to it on here.

I have often wondered who watches it, as someone must do if it keeps coming back, but i have never met one person who would admit to it.

The girl who writes it has just been given another show as well, for fuck's sake.

I've been saying for years that it's the worst non-reality show on British television. I'm happy that at least a few people agree.

And it's not just because it's shite. There have been a lot of shite TV shows. It's because they keep on making more of them!!!!!

Once I wrote to the BBC for a pack about 'becoming a writer' and they invited me to a seminar, hosted by the writer of 'Two Pints...'. Can you believe that?! Needless to say, I didn't attend - although I did flirt with the idea of firebombing the backstage area.

Don't worry, we'll set up a help group!
Just pass me the remote when it's more than an arms lengh away and I'll be fine... :) Why can i never spell lenth...was that right?

Never really watched 2POL&APOC but anything I've seen of it made me think absolutely nothing whatsoever. It just passed me by. It is all over BBC3 every night it seems, along with the disgrace to "comedy" that is Little Britain.

The Smoking Room I quite like in a fairly non-committal sort of way. Robert webb is a great comedy actor, as Peep Show shows.

Off the top of my head the only two new BBC comedies I've liked recently are the Keith Barratt Show and The Thick Of it.
