I picked "Dummy", 1994.

I was turning age 12 when it came out. That's when I met my girlfriend and listened to the album, on and off, for 8 years after that debut. She turned me on to it. It's our favorite.
 
i liked Portishead Dummy at the time, and think it's a classic album but i can't listen to it any more. unlike Tricky and Massive Attack. i'll probably always listen to them.

and another....i still think this is a beautiful love song. lovely sentiments. and i always loved Tracy Thorn anyway, i think she's bloody wonderful. :cool:

as much as i rate Tricky's stuff, and have always loved nearly everything he's done - and will probably always listen to it - i really really really hate the fact that he doesn't, and never bloody has, credit Martina properly. his sound would have been so totally different without her.
